Visiting the Pays de Cocagne,  you will follow the Cathare trails, see the traces of the wealthy pastel, saffron or wine merchants of days gone by ! You will tread upon historical cobblestones, deep into history!
Sorèze is ranked among the Midi-Pyrénées Great Sites.  Its “ abbaye-école » (abbey) has been classified historical monument.
At Lautrec the atmosphere will take you back to the Middle Ages: its cobblestoned lanes, mill, shops, craftsmen, the panorama...
You will shiver in the underground passage of Saint Sulpice or engage in meditation at the En Calcat abbey in  Dourgne.
The Vauban vault in Les Cammazes was built by Pierre-Paul Riquet and is a UNESCO World Heritage site as part of the Canal du midi.
At Lavaur, you cannot miss the imposing Saint-Alain cathedral with its organ and famous Jacquemart.
In this Toulouse-Albi-Carcassonne « Golden Triangle » pastel merchants flourished by trading pastel all over Europe. Red-bricked and limestone houses, opulent private mansions, churches and dovecotes map towns and landscapes. Today, this unique heritage is evidence to those fabulous times!
